Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: roast chicken paprika with onion and herb stuffing, onion pie, roast brasses chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Sourced from the Alexander Valley - a place of considerable heat during the day, frigid nights, and occasional fog from the Russian River. Cabs from thos area are more approachable in their youth than Napa and have an even more intense gushy/fleshiness than other Sonoma Cabs.
Ruby-rimmed and glass-saturating purple, in colour.
The aromas have tons of squashed plum and cherry, tons of chocolate, coffee, cedar, bramble, leather, and a bit of burnt sugar.
Massive and somewhat alcoholic. It has a lot of oak holding it up (2 years - mostly new oak). Look for lots of chocolate, more red and black fruit, a touch of brown spice, and a long finish.
It has dashes of Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cab Franc, and Tannat in it - 81% Cabernet Sauvignon. Quite big, indeed. Put this one alongside spare ribs, or flank steak.
This Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County, California is dark and rich with black fruit. Simi's Landslide Vineyard (2013) is a red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Malbec and Petit Verdot. This winery still makes wine in the stone cellar built by the Simi brothers in 1890. The wine was awarded Gold at the 2016 Sonoma County Harvest Fair and the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. - Community Wine Reviews
