Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is quite an outstanding Brunello with a beautiful juiciness that incorporates earthiness and depth from the first promising sniff. The complexity is gorgeous, as it is full bodied yet very elegant and fresh tasting! Silvio Nardi finishes with delicious tannins that promises healthy, long aging qualities. A great wine to drink now, but consider that the more aging it is privy to, the better it will become if you can wait!
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Chocolate-covered cherry, smoke, and dried herbs on the powerful nose. Expect vibrant acidity, grippy tannins with a little edge, and a full body. Sour cherry, a slight earthy note, and a touch of leather on the palate. Pretty classic Brunello, and as such, it demands a little aging and some classic Tuscan fare. Enjoy in the 2020s with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a Tuscan style T-Bone served "al sangue" (very rare) with just a little olive oil and salt.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This classic Brunello offers up inviting dried cherries on the palate. Nicely structured and balanced with tannins coming under control. A wine to savour with veal parmigiana. Tasted July 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Silvio Nardi 2013 is a big and bold Brunello Di Montalcino from the Tuscany wine region. Fragrant with dark cherry and tanned leather aromas on the nose with ripe dark cherry, dried sweet tobacco leaf, savoury herbs and dark spice flavours on the palate. Mouth-watering acidity and tannins are firm. Could benefit from three more years in cellar with a promise to deliver many long satisfying years of wine drinking pleasure. Pair with a game roast. - Community Wine Reviews
