Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful lees, apple tart with refreshing acidity, voluptuous medium plus bodied. Loved the crisp bubbles and great acidity. Pairs well with diverse foods from crispy potato chips to complementary or complex contrasts. Enjoyed the 2015 vintage on its own, then paired well with crispy herbed chicken. Tasted August 2017. 90 points. Great value. BespokeTastings
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted March 24th, 2018. We drank this wine at a home dinner with friends. Served scallops with bacon green onions and seasoning. The sparkling wine paired lovely with this dish. Fresh crisp lively bubbles just great value. Highly recommend for celebrations. Good on its own for toasting also good with seafood appetizers.
Sieur D'arques Première Bulle Brut (2015) is a Blanquette De Limoux from the Roussillon wine region. Limoux has a firm claim on being the first region to develop sparkling wines and these wine are labelled "méthode ancestrale" which is rare to find these days. This sparkler is toasty with floral notes, apple, citrus and pear. Mousse is persistent and zesty. - Community Wine Reviews
