Produced by Shingleback, this is a rich and robust Shiraz from the McLaren Vale with ripe dark plum, cherry, pepper spice and mocha on the nose and palate. The wine is small batch open-fermented and spends over one year maturing in American and French oak. Delicious now and for the next 10 years.

Shiraz food pairings: stuffed beef rolls, spice-braised lamb, hamburgers, black bean soup.

Reviews and Ratings

Davey Estate Reserve 2016 Shiraz is deep purple in the glass with youthful aromas of blackberry, dark plum, cracked pepper and cedar spice on the nose. Vibrant and full-bodied with spicy plum, dark berry, pepper and minty flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm. Decant one hour prior to enjoying this warming red with well-marbled steak from the grill done rare, or cellar for another five years. Produced by Shingleback. - Community Wine Reviews
