Natalie's Score: 91/100

Made from 100% Merlot, Seven Falls Cellars 2014 is a savoury, plushy, full-bodied and supple Merlot from Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley, Washington. Ripe plum, dark fruit, cherry, raspberry, chocolate, wood spice and earthy, smoky flavours on the palate. Tannins are supple. Enjoy with braised meats, grilled lamb or barbecued ribs. A terrific Washington State red wine made from a supple, yet complex Merlot grape.

Merlot food pairings: Brazilian-style flank steak, rack of BBQ ribs, veal Porterhouse, grilled lamb, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine needs time to open up but when it does, it's pretty special. Crushed plums, crushed mineral, crushed blueberry, and crushed purple flowers along with chocolate and Kenya AA coffee. Serve with a beef roast. 90 Points.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Smoky cherry and black fruit aromas with plum, chocolate, cherry and spice on the palate. Finishes with soft tannins. Pair with grilled meat. Tasted November 2018
Wineboy rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A touch of herbaceousness plus a good weight of oakiness that more than balances. Oak outlasts fruit. Reminds me more of a good Spanish red. Pleasant but unexpected so buy if you are adventurous. Chorizo anyone.
