Seresin's 2016 is a juicy, mouth-watering, medium-bodied white wine blend of 95% Sauvignon Blanc with the balance in Semillon fermented and aged in previous-use French oak to add finesse and structure to the wine. Lovely citrusy flavours with green leafy notes on a silky smooth palate. Chill and enjoy now with all of its freshness.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: seafood, Asian chicken salad, rosemary-stuffed pork tenderloin, turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Big herbaceous notes leading with boxwood and tomato leaf and a hint of earth. Crisp and dry on the palate, herbaceous softens to allow lemon and grapefruit to show. 5% Sémillon, 17% fermented in old French oak, both adding some complexities and layers. Pour alongside prosciutto-wrapped asparagus stuffed with feta cheese and topped with lemon aioli.
Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with its fresh cut grass notes on the palate, combined with tropical fruits, such as pineapple and kiwi. The development of this wine is impressive, starting with fresh lime and gooseberries, developing into notes of papaya and fresh pineapple fruitiness, and ending with mouth-watering kiwi acidity. This wine tells a uniquely New Zealand story through its nose, palate and texture.
A wonderful grassy, fresh herb and gooseberry medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough wine region and produced by Seresin. Bone-dry, crisp and vibrant with a lime-lemon zest finish. Seresin uses bio-dynamic farming principles, wild yeast for fermentation and the principles expounded on in 1924 by Rudolph Steiner. - Community Wine Reviews
