The 2014 vintage of this Cabernet Sauvignon from Sequoia Grove is elegant -- you can bring it anywhere for dinner. This still needs cellar time as it has quite a firm tannic grip on the palate. Long blackberry and cedar spice finish. Classic red wine aromas of blackcurrant and cassis. Very dry and long on the finish. Some attractive blackcurrant and cedar brush on the finish. Decant 2 hours.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty meat dishes, hard cheese, meatlover's pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The star element of this wine is on the nose. Beautiful and complex the nose absolutely is worthy of the price of this wine. On the palate, a singular heavy hand of oak is apparent. I merely describe the wine - you decide if it's your style or not.
Sequoia Grove 2014 is a full-bodied and lush Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California. Beautifully balanced, dry and full-bodied with lots of dark berries, cedar, savoury spice a mint flavours wrapped up in toast oak that just open up in layers on the palate. Nicely texture, but tannins are firm. Pair with a rib eye steak. - Community Wine Reviews
