Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: beef wellington, braised escarole and endive, rich pates, roast beef au jus, cheddar cheese, black pudding.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, harvested at Alexander Valley, shows superb quality. Deep aromas of dark plum, berry jam, black pepper, cigar, leather, vanilla and oak. Full-bodied with a sensual jammy finish, this Californian excels with its class and structure. Flavors of plum, dark cherry, violet, mocha, tobacco, black pepper and oak. Cellar it or drink now. Enjoy!
Wow! This medium-plus-bodied, juicy Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley has it all. Sebastiani 2014 is a richly layered 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Merlot red wine blend. Fragrant with black currant, black cherry and cedar spice aromas. Dry with red currant, cherry, plum, mocha and savoury spice flavours on the palate. Enjoy with a rabbit fricassee or roast quail stuffed with wild mushrooms. - Community Wine Reviews
