Schug 2015 is a plushy Californian Pinot Noir with earthy blue floral, dark plum and blueberry flavours on the palate. Tannins are well-integrated. Great value. Schug 2015 is a plushy medium-bodied Californian Pinot Noir with earthy blue floral, dark plum and blueberry flavours on the palate. Tannins are well-integrated. This 100% Pinot Noir cuvee is from grapes grown within the cool microclimate of the Sonoma Coast AVA, from select vineyards in the western portion of Carneros and the Petaluma Gap allowing the Pinot Noir grapes to mature slowly while retaining their natural acidity and bright flavours The 2015 vintage was aged in large neutral oak casks and older French oak barrels.

Plump and juicy, well balanced, medium full bodied, unctuous, fleshy, ripe plum, ripe raspberry, baking spices, aged leather, fine medium tannins. Paired well with tomato based beef goulash. Tasted 2015 vintage decanted 2h in October 2018. 92 points
