Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A blend of 47% Grenache, 27% Mourvèdre and 26% Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. Aussie winemakers have been blending these great varietals for a long time and the results are often great, in this case, they're exceptional. The Schild Estate blend has a very expressive nose with stewed dark fruits, dried fruit, blueberry, baking spice, and pepper on the long fiish. Soft with great texture, this is a beautiful wine for $19.95! A buy by the case! Enjoy on its own or pair with mushroom risotto and beef tenderloin. Tasted June 2016. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Roasted almost burnt nutshell, reduced plums on the nose. Past peak perhaps. This is an Australian red blend of 47% Grenache, 27% Mourvèdre and 26% Shiraz grapes made by the Schild family who has been in the Barossa Valley for more than 60 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
