From the Lombardy wine region, Riviera Del Garda Classico Chiaretto, Santa Margherita Stilrose 2021 is a bright and vibrant rosé blend produced from Groppello, Sangiovese, Barbera and Marzemino grapes. Riviera del Garda Classico Chiaretto is a designation for rosé wines from Lombardy that are made with the same grapes for red blends. Look for fresh red berry, cherry, pink florals, citrus and almond nut flavours dry, medium-bodied and zesty on the palate.

Food pairings: pasta Primavera, grilled salmon, prawns, grilled radicchio topped with a raspberry and blood orange vinaigrette.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2021 Stilrose Santa Margherita is a delicious, refreshing Rosé from northern Italy’s Riviera del Garda Classico Chiaretto appellation. Its in the country's Lombardia region.

In my glass, the aromas are at once shy, fresh, and appealing with raspberries, white grapefruit, and nuttiness occupying centre stage. On the flavour front, layered expressions of red berries and citrus stand out in a good way. The finish is in no rush to leave.

A blend of Groppello, Barbera, Sangiovese, and Marzemino grapes, the Stilrose delivers a marvellous textural experience. It tilts to medium bodied, its dry, it has amped up acidity (but not too much), and it lightly grips the tongue. So nice.

The 2021 Stilrose smells, tastes, and feels superb. I'll serve this scallops and mussels.
