Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

What an interesting duo, from Santa Julia. This blend combines the unctuous deep fruit of Mendoza Malbec, with the uplifting racy spice and floral profile of Cabernet Franc.
It has pretty deep concentration, in glass. Almosy glasscoating ruby-purple.
Moderate alcohol for a warm climate red really lets you dig into the fruit; a lot of mulberry, plum, cranberry, and black currant.
Subtle spices and dried flower on the nose too. Subtle pepperiness.
This wine was fermented in tank with extended maceration and manual punchdowns. It was then matured in French oak for 10 months (lilely new amd used.
Cabernet Franc should be a welcome sight in Argentine winemaking
It brings in a lot of much needed diversity, as producers narrow down style and typicity; planting in cooler sites.
This is a great wine for under $20. Reviewer's choice. Put it alongside angus burgers topped with chimichurri, coffee rubbed t-bones.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of plum, blueberry, and currant with a bit of cedar and dried herbs. Full bodied, smooth, and medium acidity. Interesting blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, tasty and a great price. Enjoy with burgers, sausages, or anything grilled.
