Reviews and Ratings

Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Appreciating wines from the province I live in - we should all support local wines. They are fantastic and this Baco Reserve from Sandbanks is a perfect example. Plenty of black fruit - plum, blackberry, clove, vanilla and tar on the nose and palate. Full-bodied and firm. This wine would be an excellent accompaniment with juicy, grilled beef or bison burgers. Tasted Feb 2017.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An abundant bouquet featuring dark plum, blackberry with blueberry and licorice undertones. Fresh, full bodied and slightly peppery. Rich long finish. Pair with beef roast or tacos. 88 points
Neil Phillips rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Sandbanks' Reserve Baco Noir comes in new bottle labelling, giving a more serious image.

This suits the palate, as while this is a classic Baco, it's more refined than several.

Nose full of red and black fruits, jammy herbalk notes, lots of vanilla, some clove & nutmeg, and rich balsamic.

The palate follows the nose, with an overall herbal jamminess. Best described as juicy, this is a well-made backyard barbecue wine.

Tasted February 2017.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
