Reviews and Ratings

Diana Becevello WSET 2, WSET 3 in p rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This 100% Pinot Noir has an intense ruby red color with scents of berries, cherries, and herbal notes.

On the palate, this wine is smooth and silky with flavours of cherry, herbs, and earthy notes. This Pinot Noir paired perfectly with our roasted chicken dinner.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is a more earthy and spicy version of Pinot Noir, all in a good way. Aromas of red cherry chalky earth, graphite, light smoke, and dried herbs. Maybe a slight fault on the nose (likely just this bottle) but quite smooth flavourful on the palate, with ripe berry notes, and a mineral, earthy finish. Enjoy with marinated pork tenderloin or any mushroom based dishes.
From the Malleco Valley wine region, San Pedro 1865 Tayú 2018 Pinot Noir is an earthy, spicy PN with dark cherry, red berry and toasty oak spice flavours on the palate. Great value under $20. Pour with a grilled rack of lamb. This wine is a product of a project launched in 2015 when viticulturist, Pedro Izquierdo, mentored two families in the Buchahueico community to grow grapes, currently with five hectares in Pinot Noir. The wine was fermented in cement and stainless-steel tank, then aged in large wooden tanks, barrels and cement tank for one year. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
