A medium-bodied Chianti with black cherry, savoury spice and smoky toasty oak aromas on the nose. Produced from mostly Sangiovese, elegant with spicy red berries, dried tobacco, leathery notes and finishing long and spicy on the palate. Pair with grilled pork, fennel sausages.

Chianti Classico food pairings: bucatini with sausage and peas, roast beef, cheesy pizza, stuffed roasted turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Tuscany wine region, San Felice 2016 Chianti Classico is well-priced below $20. Smoky with ripe cherry aromas on the nose, lush, smooth and juicy on the plate with black cherry, dark berry, earthy florals and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Nice now but better in 2020. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
