Natalie's Score: 90/100

A full-bodied, mouth-watering Italian red wine made from the Sangiovese grape, featuring enticing aromas and flavours of black tart cherries and cedar. Great partner for a variety of dishes, especially pasta and meat sauces. Love the balance here and the long finish. A terrific example of the dark side of the Sangiovese grape. Highly recommended.

Food pairings: pasta, tomato sauce, hearty meats.

The 2011 vintage of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a terrific examples of great complexity and concentration of flavour. Toasty smoke and some iron notes on the finish of this full-bodied Italian red wine. This wine is matured 2 years at the estate between barrel and bottle, and the winery practises environmentally sustainable viticulture. - Community Wine Reviews
