Reviews and Ratings

Diana Becevello WSET 2, WSET 3 in p rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This 100% Plavac Mali from Dingac has a dark garnet color. It has aromas of wild blackberries, black plum, cherries, chocolate, and a slight smokiness.

This is a rich and fragrant wine with a burst of flavours of plum jam, blackberries, cherries, chocolate, and smoke. It has high tannins and acidity with a balanced finish.

I would recommend decanting this wine at least one hour prior to drinking. It tasted even better the next day. This would also be a great wine to cellar for a couple of years.

This would pair great with meat, aged cheese and dark chocolate.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

100% Plavac Mali from the official Croatian DOP region of Dingac. One half of this is aged and undergoes fermentation in a concrete vat and overall there is two years spent in barrel. A complex bouquet shown here with stewed strawberries, raspberries and light plum chutney. Fresh herbal touches of bay leaves and sage add a savoury component with stony minerals. Very fruity with red berries, pomegranate and cherry sweetness at the back with a crisp finish of minerals lingering, delightfully on the palate. This will be a good conversation wine to enjoy with some flavour smoked meat apps and full bodied cheeses. 91 points

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
