From the Midi wine region, Saint Roch vielles vignes white wine blend is fantastic value under $20. The 80% Grenache Blanc 20% Roussanne wine blend is aromatic with ripe pear, melon and pineapple on the nose. This wine is dry, medium bodied well-balanced and structured finishing with good acidity for food. Chill and enjoy with fresh steamed lobster tails in a light garlic butter sauce.

Food pairings: roast turkey with all the trimmings, tender roast pork.

Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Wine is medium lemon in colour, bright, dry, medium bodied and with a medium intensity nose featuring lemon, honey, floral note, pineapple and pear. Smooth and viscous mouth feel with tastes of citrus pith and wet stone. Excellent with melon and smoked salmon. From the label: black slate, old vines, hand-picked, low yield and dry grown. An excellent wine with and without food.
