Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

On the nose, there are warm baguette aromas with baked apple, slight creme brulee, and almond. On the palate, it is full bodied, opulent, and creamy, with flavours of baked apple, zesty lemon, and bitter almond at the finish. It is very tasty and has wonderful harmony.

Wine-Food Pairing: Rich seafood.

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A bold bubbly with complex aromatics of lightly baked bread, orchard fruit, zesty citrus and minerality. Pairs with almost any meal. Tasted 2015 vintage traditional method in Sept 2018. 92 points
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Made from 100% Pinot Gris, fine crisp tickling bubbles and an elegant vibrant mousse floating to the surface. Mineral forward with notes of apricot, melon, almonds and smoky earthy wood. Flavours are very light and fresh showing white grapefruit citrus, green strawberries, and fresh parsley with rocky flinty residual dryness. Acidity is balanced perfectly with the light body and finish. Extra dry and delightful. Pair with soft cheeses and celebrations. Cheers! 92 points - team tasting September 16, 2016
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Toasty aromas of brioche and granny smith apple. Lots of bubbles here and this dry sparking wine that has well balanced acidity with flavours of lemon and minerals.

Would be great on its own for your next special occasion. Also could pair well with smoked salmon, oysters, shrimp or calmari.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

100% Pinot Gris, done in traditional method. Lots of yeast, toast, golden apple and lemon zest on the nose. Lots of lemon and toasty notes on the palate, with a persistent bubble, and bright acidity. Enjoy with oysters.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I love the extra dryness of the wine! Bright acidity, fine bubbles. it pairs well with all kinds of finger foods and can be served at the canape/appetizer to stimulate the appetite.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is great, funky, bready. It's 100% Pinot Gris and a bit of a beast. It integrates both white wine and red wine characteristics, running a gambit of citrus fruit, red berries, mushroom, unripe stone fruit, and crushed dried flower. 90 Points.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Brut sauvage/nature just means no dosage liqeur was used. Pure and simple. This wine was made primarily with Pinot Gris (which is a traditional Champagne varietal... Google Fromanteau).
This wine is a single vineyard offering.
It is bright lemon-green.
Taught and lean. It is aggressive with the bubbles. A year tucked away may help that.
Tons of citrus aromas. Lemon and lime peel.
The flavours are high toned nectarine, white peach, vanilla bean, citrus galore, and a minerally finish.
Pair this one with some lobster rolls for maximum awesome.
