Campfire smoke and savoury meaty notes on the nose and palate of this delicious Californian red wine. Black fruit and smoke with a chary finish. Pair with grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Pop and pour and enjoy! Nose displays rich Napa Cabernet aromas and the palate is lush and velvety smooth with dried fruits, vanilla, and a finish that makes you crave that next taste. Fabulous value priced Napa Cab that I'd recommend buying by the case. A favourite of Sommeliers and savvy consumers as it over delivers on taste and quality for such a low price. Enjoy 2015 - 2022. Tasted May 2015. 92 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I bought this on a whim after a recommendation from another customer, and I think he made a great recommendation! This wine had everything I would expect in a lovely Napa Cab - lush dark fruit and currant notes, smoke, minty spice. Full bodied with firm, yet rounded tannin, tons of fruit on the palate, and a nice balance of flavours. Enjoy this with whatever you might be throwing on the grill. The 2014 is now available, and I'd love to try it too. (Feb 2017).
This winery is nestled along the Napa Valley's historic Silverado Trail. At the 2013 New York International Wine Competition, Rutherford was named the Napa Valley Winery of the Year. This is an exceptionally well-priced Cabernet especially since the fruit is grown in Napa Valley. - Community Wine Reviews
