Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A blend of Shiraz, Merlot, and Cab Sauvignon, this complex wine with its smokey dark fruit, earth, and cedar notes, tanninc structure, make it ideal for enjoying with charcoal grilled steak - medium rare. Tasted January 2016. 90 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A medium-bodied red wine blend of Shiraz, Merlot and Cab Sauv. Cassis, cherry, black pepper, cedar, toast, floral aromas and flavours. Medium(+) balanced acidity and decent tannic finish. Perfect BBQ hamburger wine.
Tasted: January 2016
Named for the former, charismatic winemaker RM Nicholson, this South African red wine is a blend of mostly Cabernet and Shiraz, and a small amount of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec grapes, that was matured for 16 months in French and American oak. This wine won a Silver Medal at the 2012 Decanter World Wine Awards. Polished tannins. - Community Wine Reviews
