A crisp, zesty Italian white wine with notes of lime and white grapefruit. Juicy, mouth-watering acidity for seafood, but it's never aggressive. Pair with vegetarian dishes or spinach quiche.

Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A delightful white blend of Italian grapes; Grechetto 40%, Procanico 20% with 40% of other white varietals Verdello and Canaiolo Bianco. The fruit comes from the ancient limestone remnants of volcanic soil along the Orvieto region. Fresh and complex, with aromas and flavours of green apples and ripe pears, subtle floral notes and a touch of minerality. Clean, lingering, almond-hued finish. Great as an aperitif, grilled fish, drizzled with olive oil and a splash of lemon, and soft, mild cheeses. Tasted March 2017. Tania Thomas – www.runawaygrape.com
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Paper white with aromas of white peach, honey, white flowers, apple, and grapefruit. The taste is apple and peach, but not sweet. The acidity is medium and balanced quite nicely. Clean, refreshing apple and grapefruit finish.

I paired this with a lemon chicken and orzo stew, and it was perfect.
Carola Price rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Crisp white with some nice green herbaceous notes. Simple, but pleasant wine.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Named after one of Umbria's most beautiful cities, Orvieto sits on a majestic hilltop of volcanic stone between Florence and Rome. A blend, it is pale straw yellow in color and very fragrant on the nose. It is crisp, clean and shows flavors of pear, apple, floral, finishing with a lingering citrus taste.
Yong Seon Lee rated this wine as 85/100
Donna Hargrove rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

Refreshing citrus fruit flavours with apple notes. Very smooth finish with light acidity. This white blend would be delicious paired with (surprise) Italian pasta dishes.
