Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Rosewood's super popular Merlot is back after a tough winter a few years ago that damaged some of their vines. Well that much loved Merlot is making a return and the 2013 vintage is beautiful! Remarkably ripe, with smoky dark fruit, sweet baking spice, cedar and herbs on the nose and palate. A very interesting and easy-going wine that's sure to be enjoyed by anyone that takes a sip. Enjoy with marinated hanger steak and firm cheeses. An Ontario super star at a bargain price! Enjoy 2017-2020. Tasted January 2017. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.mattswinepicks.com
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Rosewood makes one of my favourite Merlots. It's aromatic, balanced and elegant, with a very fragrant nose and flavourful palate showing tart cherry, plum, milk chocolate, spice and a touch of cola. Mouth-watering with a spicy fruit finish. Enjoy with double-smoked bacon on spaghetti squash.

Malcolm Lamont - WSET Adv, CSW rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medium Ruby. Yum! An interesting attractive mix of cherry, wet leaf, tobacco, clove, dill, coconut, and leather on the nose.

This is excellent, with a nice structured coconut finish.
