Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2011 Rosewood Pinot Noir, aged in new and seasoned oak for 9 months, has intense aromas of raspberry, smoke, toasted wood and vanilla. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, subtle to refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a long, moderately wood influenced finish. This is a food friendly wine; will reward 2014/15-2018 (evolution potential +1). My impression: NICE, 88(+1) pts. Tasted Nov/13.

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium-light-bodied. This Pinot Noir has been barrel aged in both new and seasoned French oak for 9 months. Loved the delicate red fruit right out of the bottle. Strawberries, cherries, raspberries with smoked cedar, dust, vanilla and sweet spices. Soft tannins and XD.
Suggested decanting is 2 hours to enjoy this wine now. Or cellar until 2017.
I found this wine opened up after 30+ minutes. Good value Niagara Pinot Noir at $22.
Good tension in this wine, which sports notions of raspberry tart, red cherry, sandalwood and spice. It's bright and tangy with flavours of red plum and sour cherry riding a crest of brilliant mouth-watering acidity. Grippy, food-friendly finish. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Sept. 2013
