Terrific vibrancy in this mouth-watering pinot! Aromas and flavour of tart cherry and cranberry. Medium-bodied, smooth and food-friendly.

Travis Oke rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

I don't know why Rosehall weighs in the on cork vs screwcap debate. It became a moot point once we opened this Pinot Noir. The bottle never got screwcapped or recorded - it was deliciously drinkable.
I agree with Mark Britton's review - that is was light in colour and weight, reminded me a cru beaujolais - we loved it and finished it
Mark Britton rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

This is the 2011 Pinot noir from PEC producer Rosehall Run. It's pretty light in colour and really doesn't show $18.95 on the palate. It is an introductory Pinot from a pretty good producer and though not a bad wine it should probably be priced a bit lower.
Keith Marlowe reviewed this wine as follows:

good value
Defiant, in a word, encapsulates so much about the finicky pinot noir varietal. The 2011 vintage of Defiant was crafted entirely from Prince Edward County fruit, hand-tended by our Rosehall Run viticultural team. Elevage in French oak barriques, about 15% new, has resulted in a nicely structured but supple Pinot that shows terrific varietal character and purity of fruit. Defiant is proof that wines can have depth of flavour without excessive alcohol or tannin.
