Lovely freshness and balance in this beautifully constructed riesling! Very dry and mouth-watering with a medium body. Complex with aromas of lemon and dry honey. Long, satisfying finish.

Reviews and Ratings

Beverly Crandon rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

On colour, the Rolly Gassmann Riesling 2009 holds a crisp, yet light, golden wheat hue. On the nose, scents of green apple, pear and definite melon are noted, with a light floral essence. On the palate, this wine sits perfectly in the desired state of being well tempered with acidity, finely managing the wine’s sweetness. You’ll also note tastes of that persistent melon, apricot, and pear. Lastly, this wine produces an enjoyable medium length finish.
This is a formidable white!!
Malcolm Lamont - WSET Adv, CSW rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Medium gold in colour with lovely aromas of tropical fruit, white citrus, floral and mineral notes. Wow! It really jumps out at you. Off-dry on the palate, meaning just a little bit sweet, and the trop. fruit and lemon really stand out. Very nicely balanced, and good character and complexity.

A great expression of one of Alsace's noble varieties!
