Vintages Wine Panel: This wine is basically a selection of the very best Sangiovese grapes from Antinori’s Chianti Classico vineyards (excluding those used for their top-end Badia a Passignano). Look for raspberry, plum, strawberry, dried meat and new leather aromas and flavours. This dry and fresh, youthful wine will still benefit from cellar time (3-5 years), but if you decant it (2 hours) you can enjoy it tonight. My note: Very classic chianti with yart cherry liqueur and some dark spices. Full-bodied and smooth. This would be amazing with almost any tomato-sauce or Italian dish.

Chianti Classico food pairings: game meats, bison steaks, grilled lamb, tomato sauce, Italian dishes.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
