Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow, pretty aromas. Blueberry, blackberry, violets, and a touch of vanilla. Big, juicy fruit in the taste, with the blueberry and blackberry carried by high acidity and a little fine, silky tannin. Mouth-watering. The long finish is juicy blueberry.

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Loved everything about this Rioja - aromas, flavours and taste. Dark fruits like blackberries, plums and cherries waft from the glass along with smokey leather notes. Lush fruit with medium tannins and acidity leave you wanting more. Long fruit finish. Pair with a variety of meats; bbq'd pork, smoked brisket or drink on its own! Tasted Oct. 2/2016
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very pretty, floral aromas of Damson plum and violet with beautiful dark fruit, cinnamon and clove. Medium-full body with grippy tannins. The floral, plum flavours follow through on the palate with a long, dark fruit finish. Tasted Oct 02, 2016.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A really lovely Rioja - floral (violet) notes combine with dark berry, cherry, chocolate and toasty aromas and flavours, all bolstered by seamless, integrated, velvety tannins and nice acidity. Dark fruit/berry flavours linger on the finish. Worth grabbing a few!
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Meaty and rounded, Well integrated tannins and fruit, this is a well balanced reserva Rioja. Luscious red and black fruit, fine tannins with grip, medium acidity, forest floor earthiness and a long finish with persistence of red fruit and savoury herb. @jonsteeves rated 89/100 - tasted Oct 2016 - www.bespoketastings.ca

This Rioja boasts major eucalyptus and Coca Cola (cedar, caramel, black cherry and spice) notes. The palate is smooth with moderate acidity and a long leathery finish. Try it with roasted bison tenderloin or other gamey treats. Tasted Oct 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
