From Western Australia's Margaret River and the Yalumba Wine Company, Ringbolt 21 Barriques (2012) is a medium-bodied, inky purple Cabernet Sauvignon with ripe blackberry, black currant and savoury herb, and black olive flavours. Lots going on with this Cab Sauv. Minty blackberry nose. Full-bodied palate, supple and smooth. Decant one hour even so. Savoury, some grip and a good finish. Pair with a pepper steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty meat dishes, hard cheese, striploin steak on the barbie.

Reviews and Ratings

Ringbolt 21 Barriques (2012) is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Margaret River, Western Australia and produced by the Yalumba Wine Company. Still as inky in the glass as ever, look for ripe blackberry, savoury herbs, cedar spice, black olive and minty flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm and the wine could defintely hold in cellar for 10 years. Drink for the next 20 years. Pair with a standing rib roast. - Community Wine Reviews
