Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Sour cherry, baked cherry, and dried herbs lead the nose, followed by accents of smoke and earthy character. Bright acidity and grippy tannins in this full-bodied Brunello. The earthy character steps it up on the palate, but in no way are the fruity, herbal, or smoky notes concealed. Ready for dinner tonight with a brief decant, serve with heavy meats, game served with mushroom sauce, or intense cheeses.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Brunello has taken on a lovely bright brick hue. The nose has subtle tar and smoke. The palate is now silky, smooth with age but is still good structure and acidity. Medium + finish. Try it with butternut squash gnocchi or ravioli. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
A spicy Brunello Di Montalcino from the Tuscany wine region, Ridolfi 2013 is dried candied cherries, red berry and sweet spice flavours on the palate. Produced form 100% Sangiovese, the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 35- 40 days during which time full malolactic fermentation occurred, then aged in large Slovenian oak bottes for 36 months and aged in bottle for one year prior to its release. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
