A full-bodied, smooth red with big aromas and flavours of chocolate, mocha and smoky oak. Some dark fruit. Almost works as a dessert wine. Try it with dark chocolate. Great price.

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The 2004 Rendola Rosso Toscano has powerful aromas of vanilla, toasted oak, dark chocolate, cherry and black cherry - on both, the nose and palate. It is a medium bodied, dry, integrated wine; with forward/good acidity, refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a long to extra-long, silky finish. Though overpowering, it’ll pair well with dominating foods, yet can be enjoyed by itself; drink now – 2018? My impression: NICE, 87 pts – tasted twice and both times had a headache the next day after 2-3 glasses. Tasted Dec/13 & Jan/14.

James Belardo rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

For a wine that's labeled as a “table wine,” the Rendola Table Red is actually pretty damn good. I’d recommend this as an every day wine, it goes especially well with pasta or pizza! You can also add this to your arsenal of wines that are great for cooking. Try making braised beef, a ragu or a “Sunday Gravy” - you’ll add some great character to your dish!
