Nebbiolo is the noble red wine grape of Piedmont, renowned for the wines of Barolo and Barbaresco. This one for the Langhe wine region in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont is fragrant with rose petals, earthy florals, tart cherry, leather and spice. Highly recommended.

Nebbiolo food pairings: roast game meats, bison burgers, beefy casserole with rich tomato sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A crowd-pleaser from Langhe, Northern Italy, this medium-bodied Nebbiolo opens with cherry and spice aromas. Raspberry on the palate with medium tannins and a dry, herbal finish. Two hours of decanting recommended. Serve with Italian tomato-based dishes.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Wild strawberry and cherry over dried herbs on the nose. Big Nebbiolo tannins, though the edges are smooth and fine grained. Acidity and body match the tannins, checking in from the more intense end of the scale. The dried herbs become more potent with breathing, which has the added benefit of settling down the tannins a bit. Like a Barolo-Light, this is more accessible in style and price than its bigger sibling. Serve with meat lovers pizza or pecorino cheese.
Ochetti Renato Ratti 2017 Nebbiolo is fragrant with rose petals, ripe cherry, plum fruit. Full-bodied and delicious on the palate with blue florals, raspberry compote, soft orange, anise, tobacco flavours finishing spicy and long with mouth-watering acidity. Pair with a wild mushroom risotto. - Community Wine Reviews
