Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

One of the "lighter" Amarone I have had the pleasure of tasting at just 14% abv. Deep ruby colour, rustic and earthy with dried fruit, dried herbs, cedar, violets. A very nice finish of warm spices and violets. Medium acidity and smooth. Made in the traditional Appassimento method of drying grapes on straw mats to concentrate sugars and flavours. Delicious! Pair with equal weighted foods/meat. Traditional Veneto Amarone food pairings: beef, game and stews; lamb, veal; pasta with a strong tomato or truffle sauce. Good value for Amarone at just $37. Most come in over $40.
