Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Carter rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A weight and flavour reminiscent of lemon curd, with a touch of honey and white blossom. Baking slice on the palate gives it a little spice. Very pale in colour. A great example of Semillon in a very heavy bottle.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An awesome example of Semillon from Niagara's Reif Estates. Offering a light effervescence with golden apples, ripe asian pears, yellow plums and white blossoms. Flavours echo wihh peaches, sultana raisins, fresh herbs and delicate minerals that carry into the back. Acidity is well balanced with a satisfying oily mouthfeel and a medium body and finish. Pair with cheese fondue and creamy seafood dishes. - tasted November 2018
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nose: lovely lemon curd, minerally, white peach, nectarine, lanolin
Palate: much of the nose consistently reflected throughout, waxy oily mouthfeel, chamomile, medium plus bodied, dry round lingering finish
Pair with: buttery shellfish dishes, salmon, tuna, creamy baked poultries, medium creamy cheeses
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

There's a large apply core to this wine, along with lemon curd, lanolin, nuts, and shaved white asparagus. Not a bad choice to pair with Halibut straight up with a dash of S and P. 88 Points.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Reif Estates' Semillon is an interesting wine. Fresh and delicate, it is a very fragrant wine, but it is pretty soft.
From plantings started in 2005, this grape is hard to grow and was carefully managed. It also saw a short stint in used French oak, but you would hardly know. It gives a softness in mouthfeel that's quite enjoyable.
Very pale golden yellow.
Aromas of apple cider pressings, cheerios, cornflower, honey, and peach.
Rich mouthfeel, gentle extraction, and lots of exotic non-fruit oriented flavours. Lemon, zest, almond, apple.
Pair ot with blackened cod and asparagus.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier reviewed this wine as follows:

Moderate lemon, nectarine, honey notes. A light simple white and tad underwhelming. Tasted Nov. '18 by @sommsosa.
