A lovely cool-climate, maritime pinot noir that shows the moderating and cooling effects of the ocean. A zesty seam of acidity with ripe cherry notes. Closed with a screwcap. Mornington Peninsula is becoming one of the most recognized and coveted Pinot Noir producing regions in Australia. Finishes with black cherry and smoke. Pair with roast chicken or turkey.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal tenderloin, meat topped pizza, cheese fondue, seafood risotto, roast pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted April 4th 2017. Pink on the rim progressing to a nice ruby red in the centre. On the nose cherry, raspberry red licorice. On the palate juicy cherry, red fruits, medium mouth feel, good balance of fruit, acid and tannin. Finish of cool cherry pie. This wine was very easy to drink. I had it with roast pork loin, mashed white potatoes with light pork gravey and some roast heirloom carrots. Chief winemaker at Red Hill Estates is Donna Stephens. This is not even their best offering. See website redhillestate.com.au for their full line up of wine.
