Kosher for Passover, non-Mevushal Israeli white wine made from the classic Chardonnay grape. A lovely chardonnay with tropical fruit and caramelized toffee notes from the oak aging. Full-bodied and round. Tasty! The winery blends in 5% Muscat Canelli grapes for floral aromatics and lift. Good acidity.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Sweet spice, butterscotch notes with a crazy intense steely, saline and grapefruit character. This is a light-bodied chardonnay that initially comes across as austere but it's a tremendous food wine. Try pairing with tempura crab and shrimp. Tasted Feb 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

From Upper Galilee, Israel. Shows delicate tropical fruit aromas, repeated on palate with touches of caramel and almonds, then unusual almond finish.
Tasted Oct. 2018
Winemakers, Gil Shatsberg and Ido Lewinsohn winemaking experience shows in Recanati 2014. Shatsberg studied at UC Davis and Lewinsohn studied wine in Milan and worked with winery Tenuta San Guido of Sassicaia fame.
