R. López de Heredia Tondonia Reserva 2012 (1500 ml) is a vintage from a very dry year, with 25% less rain than the average season, resulting in lower yields of very healthy and phenolically ripe grapes with concentrated flavours and sugars. Because of this, the wine was able to age a little longer in barrel (six years). Dry, medium-bodied, fragrant and spicy on the palate with ripe dark fruits, dark cherry, savoury herb, baking and pepper spice flavours it is velvety on the palate with a long finish and polished tannins. Drinking beautifully now through 2035.

Food pairings: hard cheeses, roast pork, vegetarian pizza.
