Rede Reserva 2016 is a fragrant, full-bodied red wine blend from the Douro region. Produced from 60% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca, 15% Tinta Roriz and excellent value at $15. Look for rich dark fruit, cedar box, toasty oak spice flavours and rich tannins balanced with food-friendly acidity. So good now. Pour with Porchetta.

Food pairings: tourtiere, roast pork, bison burgers, grilled sirloin steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Quinta da Rede Reserva Red 2016 is a quality wine with a surprising price. A blend of Tintia Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, harvested in the Douro region, shows aromas of black raspberry, sour plum, earl grey tea, granite dust, toasted marshmallow and bread. This Portuguese wine delivers a medium body, lenient tannins and approachable acidity. The finish is dry and offers great food paring choices. Palate: blackberry, tart plum, tea, graphite, nutmeg and dark chocolate. Enjoy.
From the Douro wine region, Rede Reserva 2016 is fragrant with ripe dark fruits, dark chocolate and baking spice aromas, and is a dry and full-bodied red wine blend of 60% Touriga Nacional, 25% Touriga Franca and 15% Tinta Roriz with ripe dark fruits, savoury herbs, subtle spices and fresh acidity for food. Great value at $15. Enjoy it with a roast leg of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
