Lovely floral aromatics on this BC Viognier. Wow! Medium-bodied and bursting with flavour. Perfect for curries and Asian fare.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Viognier is a difficult grape to do well. It must have energy, but be approachable; rich, but not fat or overripe. This one really fits the bill. What is more, it's a rare example of homegrown Viognier - from British Columbia.
Pretty and concentrated, judging by how it looks jn the glass - lemon yellow.
Aromas have a fuji apple, homey, guava, lemon, and barbecued peach to it.
The palate has a lot of stone fruit and tropicality. There's an herbal, baby mint to the finish.
Luscious texture and mouthcoating.
According to Quidni, an important challenge for Viognier is mitigating tannic character from the stems, skin, seeds. They're very careful to de-stem the clusters and begin fermentation with the whole berry. The results are a delicious wine with well preserved aromatics. Don't save it for too long. Drink it while it still has vitality and youthful freshness. Pair ot with calamari or quiche Florentine.
The 2015 Viognier is a blend of fruit from our Estate Vineyard and the Lutz Family Vineyard in Summerland. Viognier has higher tannin than other white grapes, so our process is to gently de-stem and whole berry press.

Aromas of honeysuckle and peaches with a rich floral feel and long mouth watering finish. Viognier lends itself to several types of cuisine; spicy Asian food, seafood, hard and soft cheeses.
