A vibrant ruby red hue in the glass. Very juicy and mouth-watering with a lot of acidity. Nice price for this full-bodied Italian red wine. This vibrant Italian red wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, the iconic grape of both Chianti and Brunello. Lots of black fruit and smoky notes here. Let's have pizza right now please!

Rosso Di Montalcino food pairings: Margherita pizza, vegetarian lasagna, cannelloni with three cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Cherry, field tomato, baking spice and (somewhat unexpected) rubbery note dominate the aromas. The palate shows high acidity and will moderate fruit concentration. This light-bodied Italian red calls for foods as it does not cut it for me on its own. Try with Italian meatballs. Tasted Jan 2017 - @sommsosa | Bespoketatsings.ca
