Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Love this fresh and lithe Pinot Gris from Quails' Gate Estate Winery's Three Wolves Vineyard! So pretty and pure of fruit, and so fragrant with fresh cut yellow pear, yellow apple, peach, soft citrus and white pepper flavours rounded, mouth-filling and balanced with brilliant food-friendly acidity and a long silky finish. Chilled and enjoyed November 2023 with a chicken breast schnitzel and a wee squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Drink or hold to 2026.

Three Wolves Vineyard is located at the base of Mount Boucherie around the corner from Quail's Gate Winery. With eastern exposure, the vineyard enjoys several hours of morning sunshine and then the mountain shadows the vines and grapes during the warmest part of the day preserving the grapes fresh aromas and acidity while ripening them evenly and slowly.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A lovely and vibrant Pinot Gris from the Three Wolves vineyard. Aromas of pear, nectarine and tart golden apple. Light bodied with vibrant acidity, fresh, crisp orchard fruit on the palate, and a tart finish with a touch of minerality. Enjoy with any shrimp or seafood dishes with a touch of citrus.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
