Beautiful concentration of lemon essence! Here's a dessert wine that's not cloyingly sweet, and will be perfect with lemon or poppy seed cake. Oh yum. Muscat grapes thrive in clay and volcanic soil, which brings out the floral essence in them and the finished wine, especially in dessert styles. The rolling hills of north-eastern Hungary provide excellent drainage for the vines planted on their slopes.

Yellow Muscat food pairings: smoked paprika chicken, lemon cake, poppy seed strudel.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely floral and honey aromas. Full bodied and luscious, with nice balance - not too sweet, but enough to feel decadent and perfect to accompany a light dessert. Serve chilled with pastries, cookies, or on its own as a light after dinner dessert wine.
Puklus Pincészet Tokaji 2016 is a Yellow Muscat from Hungary. This is a delicately sweet white wine. Very aromatic with rosewater, honey ripe apples, pears and citrus wrapped up in an equally delicate spritz. This winery can trace its roots to 1966. Drink now and for the next five years. Pair with mild vegetarian curries. - Community Wine Reviews
