Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

My taste buds thanked me for opening the 2019 Proud Pour Pinot Noir. What’s more, Ontario’s bee population is probably happy, too, because every bottle purchased results in 300 wildflowers being planted. That’s the equivalent to 35 square feet of bee habitat.

More about this wine. In my glass, this red is big on fresh cherry and strawberry notes from its aromas to its flavours to its finish. The pleasing experience is not just about fruit, because this red has confident touches of savoury spice and tomato leaf, too. In other words, the aromas and flavours are lovely.

This elegant pinot from Ontario, Canada’s St. David’s Bench appellation feels silky, super dry, medium body, with modest acidity and minimal tannins. It is splendid.

ICYMI - Queenston Mile Vineyard’s says it Proud Pour Pinot Noir sustainably grown, vegan, and supports environmental nonprofits in Canada.

Reviewed April 2022
From St. David's Bench, Proud Pour Pinot For Bees 2019 Pinot Noir is a vegan-friendly, vibrant and medium-bodied red wine with grapes sourced from the Queenston Mile in the Niagara-On-The-Lake wine region. The wine supports local wildflower planting efforts with a portion from sales going to environmental non-profits in Canada. Bright red in the glass with wild strawberry, red berry, fresh earthy and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine-grained. Pour with a Margherita pizza. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
