Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delicious wine from Colchagua Valley in Chile, Primus 2015, The Blend offers aromas of blackberry, black currant, dried herbs, graphite, baking spice, coffee and leather. Harmoniously blended from 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 24% Carmenere, 8% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc, this full-bodied wine delivers a lovely balance with a long and fruity finish. On the palate, pleasing flavors of black cherry, black plum, violet, mocha, leather and cedar. Enjoy!
Primus The Blend 2015 is a dry, full-bodied, vegan-friendly Chilean red blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère and Merlot with a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot in the mix. All wine grapes are sourced from the Alto de Casablanca, Colchagua Valley wine region. Look for dark berry fruit, dark chocolate and savoury spice on this great value under $20, elegant red wine. Pair with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews
