Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A Chianti Classico from Tuscany, Italy, made from a selection of Sangiovese grapes. Typical Chianti with both fruity and spicy elements, vanilla and allspice. Dry, smooth, mouth-watering; great with tomato-based pasta dishes.
Tasted July 2016
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Sweet and earthy. Dominant notes include dried plums, cherry, forest floor, baking spice and savoury herbs. This Chianti is dry with moderate (still grippy) tannins, high glorious acidity, and a long savoury finish. Pair with braised beef tacos. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Poggio Teo (2010) is produced by the Piccini Family Estate, and is a solid example of a mature, well-aged Chianti Classico. The wine is made from a selection of Sangiovese grapes and is smoked cherry and mocha on the nose with same on palate with a lingering savoury-spice finish. This winery is named for the hillock on which it sits. - Community Wine Reviews
