Love, love, love this Tuscan Brunello produced by Poggio with its exotic nose of cedar underbrush, cinnamon spice and rich dark cherry aromas. Elegant and juicy with ripe cheery and cake spice flavours on the palate. Great acidity for food. Pair this one with your favourite meaty pasta and rich tomato sauce dish. Enjoy now or cellar for three years.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: rib steak, slow-braised beef ribs, roast of boar.

Reviews and Ratings

Floral on the nose with violet and rose petals, this Brunello Di Montalcino from the Tuscany wine region is elegant and bright with juicy red cherry, red currant, cake spice flavours, finishing with a bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. Very elegant overall. Can cellar for three more years to show its best. Pair with a rich and juicy pork roast. - Community Wine Reviews
