Juicy and vibrant with black and purple liqueur aromas and flavours. Full-bodied and ultra-smooth. Deeply concentrated and rich with layered complexity through the palate. Lots of toasty, smoky oak that's in balance with the luscious fruit. This wine cries out for hearty meat dishes, and for you to top up your glass. Stunning complexity, depth and finish in this towering Australian red wine.

Grenache Tannat Shiraz food pairings: roast beef, bison burgers, roast rack of lamb.

Russell McDowell reviewed this wine as follows:

We had a previous vintage of this before and found it very good!
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted June 14th, 2018. Colour dark ruby red. Legs thick plus. Aromas and flavours of, spiced cherry, plum jam, pepper. Taste dry plus, full bodied, fruity with grippy tannin, mouthwatering minus, high alcohol is hidden. Finish long chalky fruit tannin and chocolate flavours. This is a nice wine. Very rich and bold. I would recommend serving with food. Try beef or charcuterie tray. I had a BBQ spiced chicken and the wine was not off putting with this meat.
Pirramimma Katunga 2014 is a great value Grenache, Tannat and Shiraz red wine blend from the McLaren Vale wine region. This is a different red wine blend for Aus. And, this one is deep, dark and rich with ripe dark fruit, dark chocolate, smoky vanilla and savoury spice. Wow. Pair with a good book by the hearth and a roaring fire. - Community Wine Reviews
