Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A lovely Brunello with a slight brick colour on the edges. A smoky nose with touches of old library, iron and leather which follows to a smoked ham, savoury, beef stock palate with dried cherries on the finish. Drink now or age this wine if you can to settle the focussed tannins. Try with lamb chops in Teriyaki sauce @wrightwineblog
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This Brunello will command your attention with its cherry notes floating over smoke and tar. It has a smooth mouthfeel even with the still firm tannins. Enjoy with lamb shanks. Tasted October 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

2013 considered to be a "young" Brunello, this wine is pale garnet in the glass with aromas of cherry and mineral. Medium-bodied, soft tannis and a smooth, sweet herbal finish. Pour with tomato-based dishes, veal and lamb.
From the Tuscany wine region, Pinino 2013 Brunello Di Montalcino is a robust 100% Sangiovese red wine. Youthful with vibrant, fresh cherry and flinty aromas on the nose. Red cherry, plums, dried sweet tobacco leaf, dried thyme vibrant and smooth on the palate. Enjoy now or cellar for three more years. - Community Wine Reviews
