Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From a historic family-run winery in Alsace, France, this medium-bodied Riesling presents medium lemon in the glass. Aromas of green fruit, with viscous stone fruit and acidity. The finish is long and lovely with a hint of nuts. Pair with lobster, fish or soft cheese appetizers.
John Sallinen rated this wine as 90/100
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Honey, peach and stone fruit on the nose that carry to the palate and are joined by hints of ginger. Nice structure. Highly quaffable! Sip on its own or serve with scallops or shrimp. Good value. Tasted Dec 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Produce by world renown Alsatian Riesling wine producer, Pierre Sparr, Sol Calcaire 2015 is a great value under $19. Look for petrol, flinty, honeyed orange blossom, ripe stone-fruit and sweet spice on this deliciously smooth Riesling that is more like a caress on the palate. Just lovely. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
