A bright purple ruby colour, with berry fruit notes. Somewhat herbal and green on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied and dry with lots of acidity. Firm tannins. Produced by Domaine du Vissoux, this light French red wine is made from the Gamay grape in the nouveau style meant to be consumed this year. Lots of fresh berry flavour.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A wonderful Gamay Nouveau 2016 vintage. Tart, mouthwatering, juicy red berries, light body, medium minus integrating tannins. Fermented with naturally present yeasts. Great value and fun. Ready to enjoy. Rated 87/100.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

A light bodied floral and juicy-ripe-berry Gamay made in the 'Nouveau style." A nice smooth mouthfeel with high acidity and grippy tannins but lacking in fruit flavours. It's a touch too herbal for my preference. Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
